And a little bit creepy. (At least he's well read.)

The cardigan, in sock yarn, is just the right weight for San Francisco. And though I thought I made it to newborn measurements, it looks like it will last for a couple more months, even with Daniel measuring a little bit big for his age. I'm impressed with how the yarn held up in the washing machine (it's superwash, but that always makes me nervous)...and how it held up against the changing pad cover, with abundant velcro, that someone (cough*Neill*cough) put in there with it. There are now some funny felted spots, but I'm at peace with them.

"Mother, would you kindly hand me my Scotch?"
fantastic! I love the little cardigan and Daniel is adorable!! How is he liking the baseball season so far?
ReplyDeleteOMG! The eyebrow furrowing and those facial expressions! Daniel looks like he has a ton of personality already! The sweater is absolutely adorable and he looks quite handsome!
ReplyDeletei LOVE little boys dressed as old men. ADORABLE. and what a sweet cardigan.
ReplyDeleteGreat sweater! Daniel is so cute, I love the little old man look. Who knew babies heads were so big!?
ReplyDeleteI made sweaters for 2 newborns (Nov and Dec) last fall, and was very tempted to make those necklines smaller. They looked so big ... but fortunately did not and they both came out just the right size. I based my sizing upon a newborn's onesie that I bought. I think Daniel is precious with or without a pullover.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget the cigar!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are priceless! What a beautiful little guy! And the sweater is lovely too!
ReplyDeletehaha, hilarious!! He's so expressive, I love these photos. the cardigan looks great, and I'm so glad it survived the velcro washing machine incident!

ReplyDeleteOK, that's the cutest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteThat last quote had me laughing out loud. I appreciate your blog--thanks for great patterns and glimpses of your life.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is the best - what a cutie! Yeah, their noggins are off the hook, and yet their necks are like pipe cleaners. I always boggle at the tiny neck on a BSJ, and yet it works perfectly. Cardigans are the best option or something like a lap tee.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Love the pics! Old man baby sweaters are so charming!
ReplyDeleteClearly, you are one of the coolest moms ever. Those are fantastic pics! I think the cardigan is cool, and he seems to be enjoying it! :)
ReplyDeleteoh.my.god. that is one cute baby. :)
ReplyDeleteHAhahaha! This is sweet. My wee one also has old-man hair; at least yours is a boy.
ReplyDeleteCardigan is gorgeous, btw.
When you wrote that your son looks like Winston Churchill..I actually laughed out loud. I hardly ever do that when I'm reading a post, but that was too funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd your son is the cutest little boy! Just adorable!
