Each shawl in the collection was inspired by a star (Stella being Latin for 'star') and each features a different Tanis Fiber Arts fingering weight yarn base. Perfect yarn, lacey shawls, Latin, and astronomy? This is so up my alley.
Now on to the prettiness...
Adhara - a lovely two-color, lacey, triangular shawl

And because I love wearing a shawl around my neck like a scarf, here's a shot of it worn that way, too:

Suncrest - cushy garter stitch goodness and pretty scallops

And just look how it scrunches. YUM.

Solaria - lots of texture, and lace, and oh! that color!

It can be worn as a capelet, too, which I love. (And don't you also love how Julie's styled it??)

Nashira - a gorgeous lightweight stole that would go with everything!

All of the patterns can be purchased individually (just click the linkies above) for C$6, or you can get the whole shebang for C$15.
OR, if you leave a comment here telling me which design is your favorite, you may just be the lucky person drawn to receive a free copy of the collection! You have until next Monday, July 30th at noon Pacific time -- I'll draw a winner and make the announcement that afternoon. So let's hear it! Which starry shawl would you make first?
They are all so lovely, but I have to say Solaria is my favorite. I love the color!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to choose but I'd start with Adhara. I'd love to knit it for the Fall.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Suncrest! I am a garter stitch addict, so it is perfect for me.
ReplyDeleteOoh they're all gorgeous, but think it would have to be Adhara.
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely...so hard to have a favorite, I'd love to start with Suncrest.

ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with Adhara! It looks like it would be nice to knit, with that big , leafy edge and the two colours. But I do love Suncrest as well!
ReplyDeleteSuncrest is my favorite, although they are all lovely
ReplyDeleteI think I would start with Nashira!
ReplyDeleteI'd knit up Solaria first, because if I got it done fast enough, I could wear tank tops to work in this heat and put it over as a capelet when I get to the building for instant work-appropriate sleeves.
ReplyDeleteI would knit Adhara first.
ReplyDeleteI would be all over the Adhara
ReplyDeleteThe Suncrest is amazing. They're all amazing!

ReplyDeleteSuncrest is just beautiful!

ReplyDeleteLove Solaria as a cowl and capelet!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with Adhara. I would so knit this in the bluish colors and wear this elegant and so fashionable shawl around my neck.
ReplyDeleteI will probably knit them all - love Tanis yarn and these patterns. Will start with Adhara, trying to decide what color scheme to do. Thanks for offering the pattern give away, and hoping to win.
ReplyDeleteI like Suncrest best, because I'm on a crescent kick lately, but I think Adhara would be really interesting to knit.
ReplyDeleteI love Solaria! It's in my queue.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely in love with Adhara! It is exquisite!!

ReplyDeleteLove Solaria, but Suncrest is not far behind.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love! I would definitely knit them ALL but first up would be Nashira.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, thank you for pointing out this lovely collection! I love Adhara, although the Nashira stole is a very close second, and they're all beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautifully done in such lovely colors that it is hard to choose. The first one I would knit would be Adhara. Then I would have to knit all the others!
ReplyDeleteNashira is my favorite. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the suncrest! Amazing collection!
ReplyDeleteAdhara is splendid. That lovely edging, the cleverness of the grey and blue color usage in that lovely pattern. That is oh so clever!
ReplyDeleteAdhara is splendid. That lovely edging, the cleverness of the grey and blue color usage in that lovely pattern. That is oh so clever!
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but would start with Adhara. So, so pretty. It's as though it was designed with me in mind! ;-> Thanks very much!
ReplyDeleteI'd start with Adhara. They're all beautiful, though!
ReplyDeleteI would knit them all, especially in those beautiful yarn colorways but I would start with Solaria. I'm a cowl-girl :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're awefully mean to make me choose just one...but I guess if I must I'd say Nashira. Oh my goodness.
ReplyDeleteSo very tricky to choose! I'm going to have to say Solaria. Likely because I'm a sucker for yellow, what can I say?
ReplyDeleteI love Solaria - Very hard to choose tho'! Tammy (charliesmomma on ravelry!)
ReplyDeleteI love the Nashira shawl for myself, but I would probably end up making the Solaria first as a gift for someone special...

I'd like to knit Adhara first.
ReplyDeleteThose patterns are really gorgeous!
At first I thought Adhara was my favorite, but now I'm certain I've been seduced by Nashira. I find pretty scarves are nealy irresistable.
ReplyDeleteAll the patterns are beautiful but I would knit Nashira first!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the entire collection, but I already bought Tanis Fiber Arts yarns for an Adhara and a Suncrest, so they'll have to be first on my needles!
ReplyDeleteHard to pick a fave, but I think it is Suncrest!
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but I think I would start would start with Suncrest - so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt would be a close tie between Nashira and Suncrest for me, but they're all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBoy, oh boy, hard to choose, but I think Solaria is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNashira is my favorite because I'm currently in love with rectangles. I can see this stole worn as a, well, stole - and also wrapped around the shoulders, crossed and then gently tied at the waist. It's just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway! I really like the look of Suncrest! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful ! Suncrest is my favorite and the color is so perfect.
ReplyDeleteAdhara, hands down, for me!
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to line them up and eenie-meenie-miney-mo them to figure out where to start.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to knit Adhara first. I love the border! I'm actually really new to lace knitting AND shawl knitting, so I'd love to test my skills working on these. I'm knitting a candle flame shawl right now for my grandmommy, and these patterns would knit up into great gifts for other family members (although I'd have to keep Adhara for myself)
ReplyDeleteI would totally start with Suncrest (I'm obsessed with garter stitch lately, and the construction looks like a lot of fun), but these are all lovely. What a gorgeous pattern and yarn collection!
ReplyDeleteThey're all beautiful! Hard to chose but I would start with Suncrest, then Adhara.
ReplyDeleteI adore Solari. It's a pure ray of sunshine. :-)

Where to start?? As a recent newbie to the land of shawls, I'd go with Adhara. The challenge of the 2 colours... but which 2 colours?? That's a whole lot of thinking!!!
ReplyDeleteI would start with Adhara. Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are all pretty, but I would have to start with Suncrest.
ReplyDeleteZowmom on Ravelry
