Arisaig, Done.

Tomorrow, Neill and I depart for Washington DC for our first wedding of the fall (I've already written down the names of all the yarn shops in the area) so I don't have time for a full Res Completa report, but I wanted to quickly post to say that my Arisaig sweater is done! The 7 feet of 1x1 ribbed neck edging almost killed me (seaming it to the sweater was even worse), but somehow I survived, and eleven minutes ago, it was complete. There are a couple of things I want to fix when we get back. I ran out of needles while blocking, so one edge is kind of scalloped from where it was stretched out on the blocking board. Also, the hooks and eyes kind of pull at the side of the sweater, so I'll have to see about adjusting them.

Oh, but I love it. I love it I love it I love it. Thank you, Ysolda!

I will leave you now with a poorly styled, poorly lit picture that makes our bathroom look hideous, but that includes my favorite self-knitted object to date:

Yea! It's done! I would have never seen the imperfections if you hadn't mentioned them, it really does look wonderful. Have a great trip.
Love,
