Juliet in Progress

I know I was only supposed to be knitting for others in November, but I had finished pretty much everything on my Christmas gift list, so I spent a couple days working on this little number, hopefully to be worn on Christmas:

It's Juliet, by Zephyr Style and I think it's just about the cutest thing ever (and don't you think the attached needles are a nice touch??).

I'm using Laines du Norde Royal Cashmere (yeah, I don't know that I will ever be able to use non-cashmere yarn EVER again...it's so soft!). Unfortunately, I didn't order enough of it, and I'm about 1/2 a ball short. Webs said they sent the final ball a couple of days ago; I'm crossing my fingers that they still had some left in the same dye lot as the others.

My favorite parts are the little cap sleeves. So cute!

I am also in love with the buttons.

I found them at an antique shop in San Bruno when Neill and I took our couch to be reupholstered and knew immediately they'd be gorgeous with the yarn. Dang they were expensive ($20!). Being used to antiquing in Turlock, I am always shocked by how much Bay Area shops mark up this kind of stuff. Anyway, because I got such a good deal on the yarn, I went for it.

I've actually been knitting much, much more than the blog would suggest. But my FO's have all been Christmas gifts and I don't want the recipients to see. It has also become EXTREMELY difficult to find a time to take photos. It gets dark at, like, 4pm. When does it start getting lighter again??

This looks really cute on you--the needles, you know, they add a certain... flare. ;D

Just kidding about that. But, yes. VERY CUTE.

The buttons are awesome, too.
