About a week and a half ago I got a question in the comments from Naomisaur regarding my Ujein Vest and will address it here because I don't know how else to contact her!
Q: Could you tell us what your gauge was (st and row)? And what size from the book did you make?
A: Unfortunately I didn't measure my gauge before I steam-blocked, though I wish now that I had. Also unfortunately, I lost the yarn's ball band years ago, so I'm not sure what my gauge was even supposed to be. However, I have measured my vest, and here's what I found: after lightly blocking and stretching a bit, my garter stitch gauge was 3 stitches and 5 rows per inch. In 1x1 ribbing, my gauge was 5.5 stitches and 8 rows per 2".
The size I made was the smallest one, with a finished chest measurement of 28" (that's a whopping 4" of negative ease).
