Selling some knits

Hey there! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! Daniel dressed up as our Contractor, Darin, from our home renovation days (one of his heroes) and had a lot of fun in his first trick-or-treating experience. (Mostly due to the candy and the fact that he got to wear a Daniel-sized tool belt.)

Anyway, I'm here today to talk about selling some knits. Since I really started knitting 7 years ago, I've frequently been asked the same question: "Do you ever sell your handknits??" And my answer has always been the same: "No, I do not." To friends I say I'd be happy to make him/her something as a gift, or for a special occasion, but, no, I do not sell my knits.

Well, for a limited time, I'm going back on that. In a one-and-only Etsy shop update, I've added a few handknit goods -- 3 cowls and 1 infinity scarf in two different colors.

See, last winter, in preparation for a craft fair, I didn't have anything important on the needles, and I had some stash yarn with no plans, so I decided to whip up some chunky neckwear.  I personally love wearing this kind of thing, especially in fall, when I can throw it on over a long-sleeved T.  And the two colors are pretty and neutral (even the pink) and go well with just about anything.  Here's a teaser...

If you read this blog, you are probably more than happy to knit your own cowls. But if you happen to be in need of some handknit goodness and don't feel like making it yourself, you can see this cowl and more in my Etsy shop.
