Bye, Bye, Wisdom Teeth

A couple of days ago, I had all of my wisdom teeth taken out -- a procedure I had been actively avoiding since I was about 19 years old. Luckily it was not the torturous, life-changing activity I had been expecting, but it's not all that pleasant either. I've mostly only been able to sit in the living room chair like a blob -- though I've been avoiding the pain meds because I think they make me feel worse, I'm still a little woozy -- but there has been a little knitting going on. I'm only going to show a partial shot because the friend these are for may be lurking around...

I'm just gonna say, colorwork may not have been the best option for a post-operative, slightly under-the-influence person. Try as I might, the herringbone pattern still makes absolutely no sense to me. I was hoping that all of this time at home would mean tons of knitting, but unfortunately that hasn't been the case. Ah, well, at least I've got all those recorded episodes of Everyday Italian to keep me occupied.

Hang in there Hilary! The pain goes away quickly. I didn't like the pain meds either so my doc said to take 3 advil instead and that seemed to work. Oh, and I saw your dad this morning, he's so nice :)

Oh now I hope you feel better soon! Getting your wisdom teeth out is no fun, but I found it was a great excuse to live off chocolate milkshakes! =)
